Problem Solvers Caucus Co-Chairs Release Statement on the Fifth Anniversary of January 6th

January 6, 2026

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Problem Solvers Caucus Co-Chairs Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01) and Tom Suozzi (NY-03) released the following statement on the fifth anniversary of January 6th:

“Today marks five years since the attack on the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021.

As Co-Chairs of the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus, we unequivocally condemn the violence that occurred that day. The peaceful transfer of power is the cornerstone of our democracy, and any attempt to subvert it cannot be tolerated.

We honor the courage and sacrifice of the U.S. Capitol Police, local, state, and federal law enforcement officers who answered the call to serve and protect with remarkable selflessness and resolve.

Today, and every day, we remain committed to safeguarding the institutions entrusted to us by our Founders—ensuring they endure, strong and stable, and worthy of the trust of the American people”
